Privacy policy

In short. We only collect the data we need to deliver your order, keep our accounts and answer your questions. We do not send newsletters, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell your data. You can always ask us what we hold about you.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Daninka ApS, CVR no. 43439863, Sohngårdsholmsvej 13, 9000 Aalborg, Denmark, trading as Nordicwasi, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info@nordicwasi.dk or on +45 50 28 69 48.

2. What data we collect

  • Order data: your name, delivery and billing address, e-mail address, phone number, the products you buy, prices, and the date and number of your order.
  • Payment data: the payment method, the amount and whether the payment went through. Card details are handled by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Correspondence: what you write to us by e-mail or through the contact form, for example about an order, a return or a complaint.
  • Customer account: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
  • Technical data: when you visit the store, our platform Shopify processes technical data such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit, to run the store securely.
  • Purchases at fairs and markets: if you pay by card at our stand, we receive the same payment data as above. If you ask for a receipt by e-mail, we also receive your e-mail address.

We do not collect sensitive personal data, and we do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling.

3. Why we use your data, and on what legal basis

  • To process and deliver your order, including payment, shipping, returns and complaints. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep our accounts as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in helping you (Article 6(1)(f)), or our contract with you where the question concerns an order.
  • To keep the store secure and prevent fraud and misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe store (Article 6(1)(f)).

4. Cookies

We only use cookies that the store needs to work, for example to remember your basket, keep you logged in and complete checkout securely. These cookies do not require consent.

We do not use advertising, marketing or tracking cookies, and we do not use tools such as Meta Pixel or Google Analytics. If Shopify's built-in statistics or preference cookies are used, they are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Who we share your data with

We share your data only with companies that help us run the store and deliver your order. They process the data on our behalf or as independent controllers for their own services:

  • Shopify (Shopify International Ltd., Ireland), which hosts the store and processes orders.
  • Payment providers: Shopify Payments, Klarna, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay, depending on how you pay. They also carry out fraud checks.
  • Shipping: Shipmondo (Denmark), which prints our shipping labels, and the carrier that delivers your parcel. They receive your name, address, phone number and e-mail.
  • Bookkeeping: IEX (Denmark), which transfers orders to our accounting system, and Dinero (Denmark), where our invoices and accounts are kept.
  • Authorities and advisers, such as the Danish Tax Agency or our accountant, where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data, and we do not use it for our own advertising.

Shopify Network Intelligence. Shopify combines data from our store with data from other Shopify stores to improve its products, personalisation and ad targeting, for example in the Shop app and in the payment options shown at checkout. Other merchants cannot see your data. Shopify does this under its own privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy. Our legal basis for allowing it is our legitimate interest in using the Shopify features that depend on it (Article 6(1)(f)).

6. Transfers outside the EU

Shopify may process data in Canada and the United States. Canada is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. Transfers to the United States are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Order and accounting data: for five years from the end of the financial year the order belongs to, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
  • Correspondence: for as long as needed to handle your case, and at the latest two years after our last contact, unless it forms part of our accounts or a complaint.
  • Customer account: until you ask us to delete it, or after three years without activity.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • get access to the personal data we hold about you,
  • have incorrect data corrected,
  • have your data deleted, unless we must keep it by law,
  • have the processing restricted,
  • receive your data in a structured, commonly used format (data portability),
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and
  • withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting earlier processing.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example if we start using new services. The current version is always available in the store, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed.
